The DSDTs are sorted by board type and date. Check to see which version of the P55A-UD3 board you have, v1 or v2. The F# refers to the bios number, 11 being the latest. You'll have to check to see what bios your board is running.
Since you're able to boot to a gray screen and cursor, my very...
Same here. Leaving my USB external backup plugged in would give me EBIOS errors two out of three startups. Unplugging the external except when needed removed the EBIOS errors.
Set it in the bios. I have the same board and I run in 64-bit.
Go to Power Management Setup -> HPET Mode and change it from the default 32-bit to 64-bit mode.
HTH
Quick edit: to check, go to System Profiler and click on Software on the left hand side. It'll have 64-bit Kernel and Extensions: Yes
Hmmm, with the same board I have AppleHDA.kext in /S/L/E and Legacy888HDA.kext in /E/E. That doesn't look right, but if I remove either one of them I lose audio. Go figure.
I couldn't tell from your post if you have any external drives connected. I had the EBIOS read errors until I unplugged my external hd before startup. I now leave it unplugged until time for the weekly backup. HTH
I was thinking copying your Extras Æ’ and your Extensions Æ’ to the desktop, then dragging each of mine to replace your whole Æ’ in both instances. Afterwards dropping each folder onto kext utility should give you a new .mkext for E/E and a new .mkext for S/L/E. But you say you manually put...
I have a P55A-UD3 board w/ none of the problems you're having. Audio for our boards has always been dodgy, but my kexts here are working on both my main volume and a sacrificial volume. Good luck, HTH.

All you need to boot 64-bit is to remove the "arch=i386" string from /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist
32-bit
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>arch=i386</string>
64-bit
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string></string>
If you open System Profiler and click on "Software," it'll tell whether or not you're...
Hmmm. Don't know why the F12 key isn't ejecting for you. Just add an eject key to the menu?
Navigate to the Menu Extras folder inside CoreServices:
Macintosh HD > System > Library > CoreServices > Menu Extras
Inside the Menu Extras folder you should see a file called "Eject.menu"...
You can try mine, though I doubt it will do any good; I used MultiBeast just like you did. The DSDT is from here as well:

Maybe the new F9 will help.

Re: GA-P55A-UD3 ALC888 no sound/dodgy video, help please!
I have the same board, went here to fix the sound problem:

Sorry to say I can't help with video issues.
*sigh*
I thought the upgrade to 10.6.4 went smoothly, but just now I when I went to burn a disk it wouldn't show on the desktop. A quick look at System Profiler gave me, "No disc burning device was found. If the device is external, make sure it’s connected and turned on."
I booted into my...
You might try using an older version of one of the boot CDs. The older "P55 Bood CD" works for me, but I had nothing but trouble when trying to use one of the newer iBoot CDs.
