Hi everyone,
I thought I'd inform you about a strange phenomenon on my Hackintosh Laptop (Lenovo G560 i3 with SL 10.6.8):
Basically I tried to fix a problem with my keyboard/touchpad driver that forces me to run the OS with 32 Bit.
However, having failed and crashed the system I thought I'd...
Hi,
I tried several times to upgrade SL (10.6.8) but it was denied in the Apple Store.
Now I thought a direct upgrade to 10.9 would be possible but failed again.
My thoughts: Maybe because my SL is running on 32 Bit?
(With 64 Bit the keyboard/mouse is not working.)
Is Apple just checking...
Hi everyone.
My family has a left over that was running XP but was infected with trojans, viruses and everything you can think of.
Since the Aspire 9410 is a 17" laptop I thought it was too good to be trashed so I tried to install SL on it.
At first it was a waste of time I thought until I...
After I decided to retire my old G4 QS and use its case for a Hackintosh I wonder if the bought MB (Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H) will work with my Snow Leopard DVD or if I should try to install Maverick.
Is it possible to directly install 10.9 without 10.6.8 ?
I asky myself how this task can be...
A miracle has happened.
With the help of a German forum I finally made it: OSX 10.6.7 is now running on my Lenovo G560 i3 - and it seems really be 100% since even Ethernet is working, Webcam, Mic ... etc.
The only thing left is a tripple boot. For now the Linux partition is not recognized...
You know, now that I gave in and turned back to Ubuntu Linux I still ask myself why it is easy and possible to boot with the help of the iBoot CD but not after installing Chimera/MultiBeast etc.
However, I noticed that a lot of guys have exact this problem so it is obviously a general problem...
Does it make any difference if I extract the DSDT from the same computer in Linux and in OSX?
I'm asking because with Linux most if not all hardware is obviously working while this isn't the case with OSX running.
A question to all:
What is the exact difference between iBoot and Chameleon?
I can boot OSX when I use iBoot from disc but Chameleon won't boot.
So there must be something on the disc that makes things work that are obviously not included in Chameleon.
Any idea?
Well, one thing at least.
The Lenovo G560 can install a retail Snow Leopard 10.6.3 and it can be updated until 10.6.5 (I did it with combo ups.)
The nice thing: The NVIDIA GF 310M and the i3 is recognized by the system (from 10.6.5 on). That's more than I had before with all other trials...
Hi,
since I fail to install my retail SL 10.6.0 and suspect that it won't boot because of DSDT:
How do I know how create my own fitting DSDT?
I found out how to disassemble but what do I write into it instead the original code?
Would like to have an DSDT for Lenovo G560
i3 350M 2x2.26 GHz...
I could imagine it would be very interesting for all if there were a "recommendation list" for laptops that run OSX like this one for Netbooks:
http://gadgets.boingboing.net/2008/12/1 ... patib.html
I myself have a hard time to decide what laptop I should buy since I'd like to run OSX with it...
Hi,
I am thinking about buying a Lenovo G560 with a i3 CPU for triple boot (Linux, Win, OSX) and of course I'd like to use OSX as the main OS. Has anyone experience in getting OSX to work on this machine?
I was considering also a Samsung R530 but I tend to buy the Lenovo since I made good...
