Optimizing my Memory Frequencies in my Bios?

Completely awesome! I'm going to check it out right now and see whether it'll work for me. The thing that worries me are the voltages and possibility of frying my CPU, but if I follow your suggestion by keeping the QPI/VTT to .5v and having the memory remain in 1.66v, I should be fine. Plus, I...

Optimizing my Memory Frequencies in my Bios?

Thanks for the quick response. Wouldn't I need to change my settings first within the my bios first before I even adjust it in my OS? — since my actual speed is set to 1333 in my bios instead of 1600.

Optimizing my Memory Frequencies in my Bios?

Before I test my memory and cpu, I would like to adjust my memory's frequency to the correct settings. In my Bios, it's telling me that the memory is set to 1333Ghz frequency when it should be 1600Ghz based on the manufacturer settings provided. How do I adjust my memory frequency to the...

    Gigabyte ON-OFF charge for Hackintosh?

I had the same motherboard as you (GA-X58A-UD3R). Not sure if this is considered the Gigabyte's On-off charge, but I'm still able to charge my iPod Touch when my Mac is asleep. I haven't tried it when I fully shut down my computer. I didn't install anything special besides the needed graphics...

What did I do? After Multibeast can only boot in safe mode

I never restored a Mac through time machine, but based on other's feedback before, restoring with time machine doesn't exactly fix any issues since the kext issues remains within the TM backup.

    Frequent freezing with GA-X58A-UD3R

I've successfully updated my machine with the FF Bios and the FF DSDT file from Tonymacx86 website. Load optimized settings and reapplied my bios settings (SATA to ACHI, Enabled HPET, HPET 64-bit). Applied the DSDT and had to apply the new Chameleon Graphics Enabler (Before I was using the...

    Frequent freezing with GA-X58A-UD3R

My machine is complete mess--and on the verge of just purchasing a regular Mac that just works. Recently, it has acting odd, maybe ever since I've updated my Safari and Java update on my machine. But it either freeze or my current application just suddenly stop working with color windmill...

    EBios Read Error

Interesting, my current boot order starts with my SATA DVD Drive and is followed by my Snow Leopard start up drive. So, it may be causing this weird error. I'll change the boot order and give it a shoot. Thanks! By any chance, why changing my boot order away from my SATA Drive may resolve this...

    EBios Read Error

Recently, my machine has been riddled with issues. Whenever I shutdown my computer and boot from a cold start, it would display the following: EBios Read Error: Device Timeout Block 0x0 Sector If I hard restart it after the error, it works fine again. What's would be causing this issue? And...

    weird buzz static noise??

Ah, I didn't know there were a FE Bios out for the X58A-UD3R. Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully, this will fix it. However, I'm going to do some research beforehand so I won't run into any problems with the OS.

    weird buzz static noise??

I am having the same buzzing noise issue as well whenever it seems to be accessing the hard drive. I don't know how to fix it, but I did update my latest BIOs (FB) from my motherboard (X58A-UD3R) and that doesn't work. Any idea from someone who may know what's the problem here?

Installing a Rosewill Internal Card Reader?

So, I've installed the Realtek Patch. It still wakes up instantly after sleep. Not sure what to do now. I did some testing. I've disconnected the SATA cable between the Rosewill Card Reader and the motherboard—thinking that the SATA cable may be causing it. But it doesn't want to sleep. I've...

Installing a Rosewill Internal Card Reader?

I'm not 100% precent sure whether it's using a JMicron chip or not. But according to this fellow's review on a different particular product, Rosewill RX81US-HT-35A-BLK 3.5†SATA to eSATA + USB & Aluminum w/ High Quality Texture surface Ext. Enclosure, he mention it uses a JMicron chip. So, I'm...

Installing a Rosewill Internal Card Reader?

I couldn't find the Voodoo Card Reader Kext from MultiBeast. Where will I be able to find? Instead, I found "Voodoo PS/2 Controller with Trackpad Support." I don't think that's the right one though. Any idea?

Installing a Rosewill Internal Card Reader?

So, I've installed the device successfully and it works fine. But whenever I put my machine to sleep, it instantly wakes up. I'm guessing it's the card reader that's causing this to happen since it's hooked using USB/SATA ports from my motherboard. Because I'm thinking that the device doesn't...
