I also have a 4530, 10.10/win7 clover build works fine but if I pop this i7 in there it just won't play ball.
I Have followed that guide to trouble shoot the issues I was having but have decided to stick the i3-2330m back inside,
done that ran PBI 6.1.13R and I now have everything working...
For now I'm sticking with 10.8 as I have had nothing but problems with clover on this particular machine,
only seems to load in safe boot so I am unable to mount the efi partition... was getting the same end result ie the PBI-CE failing.
From what I can see it seems to be the SSDT generator in PBI causing the errors i'll attach incase you want to have a look at it.
Tried running Piker-Alpha/ssdtPRGen.sh and it failed too saying

My question is can you or anyone else on here think of a reason that the PBI install is failing with the i7 installed? but with an i5 or i3 inside i can install 10.10, 10.9 with clover or unibeast(10.8.5) without a problem??
Sorry if I am not explaining it properly but I hope you get where...
I have followed many of the guides with and without problems,
I have a working probook 4530s with i5 2530m hd3000 low res 10.10.3 clover/win7 only difference is the CPU so the install process should have been almost identical no?
I want to get ML stable then go threw the upgrade process as...
I don't understand why you are referencing Yosemite and clover when I have stated I am running 10.8.5 with unibeast
and this is posted in the Mountain Lion laptops support section.
I had previously installed both yosemite and mavericks with clover with no success when trying to run PBI-CE...
After many failed attempts at installing 10.10, 10.9 with no success I have reverted back to 10.8 but PBI fails to complete
As mentioned in title I have installed/uninstalled all 3 versions on my 4530s both 10.10 and 10.9 with clover and now I've gone back to 10.8.5 with unibeast.
I am...
Looks like it.. I have already installed like 3 times with clover and twice with uni beast and mavericks, keep getting same outcome PBI/PBI-CE wont finish and will only load os in safe boot.
Anyway at all to patch SSDT on another machine? also what changes do I need to make to my config.plist?
the one attached is from my working install with i5 2430m and 8g ram the machine that im having bother with is i7 2670qm and 4g ram
Any useful links with examples of how to patch on a different machine can i just run MaciASL/Patchmatic from any mac and edit my vanilla DSDT? Then do I just run PBI-CE to generate SSDT? or is there a better way of generating SSDT?
The config.plists I have been using have all been from you're GitHub repo. I have windows installed now to exctract DSDT and grab MaciASL to edit them is this possible in safe boot? as that is still they only way I can load Osx.
Hi all,
Been away from home for a while so only getting back to this now.
As far as I cab see there is a MEI Device listed in the output from lspci -nn. Could you please check the text file for me to confirm if it is in fact an es/qs chip?
It was listed and sold as SR02N which is OEM...
I have replaced the EFI/config.plist on my usb with the one from the guide (hd3000 1366x768) and still get the same result.
the usb still works to boot into the 2nd 4530s I have with i5 2430m osx 10.10.3 and win7 dual boot.
