[FIX] Intel HD4400/HD4600 Mobile on Yosemite
Well, it fully worked for me only after running codesign... No idea why...
Anyway, thanks a lot to you and vbo for the patches
[FIX] Intel HD4400/HD4600 Mobile on Yosemite
Ok, i'll try this but i'm not too confident it will make any difference.
Al least on my machine, this patch is for sure an improvement (no crashes and ok with small images) but not a full fix (big files and image scale).
Anyway, the Preview issue...
[FIX] Intel HD4400/HD4600 Mobile on Yosemite
Well, i'm not spoofing my intel gfx id (no Clover fakeid or dsdt injection)...
I've tried to boot with kext-dev-mode=1 (i've never used this flag before in all my beta/DP and final Yosemite installations since all kexts are working fine without...
[FIX] Intel HD4400/HD4600 Mobile on Yosemite
It's partially working on my HD4400: Preview does not crash anymore but it's working only with small picture files. If i try to open a jpg bigger than around 1000 pixels wide, it's immediately covered with a grey block...
Also, if i open a small...
Does anybody have glitches and crashes in Preview App?
As soon as I open any picture, a grey block covers part of it and the app freeze for a while.
The app often crashes asking to send report to Apple.
I have full resolution with QE/CI on my Lenovo T440 (Intel HD 4400) and everything else...
Ok, I'm using 8.1.8 drivers (from 10.9) while 8.24 (10.9.2) cause kernel panic (i've also read a lot of complains about external display issues on 10.9.2 on real Macs...)
I've replaced on 10.9.2 the following kext/bundles with the ones from 10.9 and now i have a fully working external display mirror using displayport:
AppleIntelFramebufferAzul.kext
AppleIntelHD5000Graphics.kext
AppleIntelHD5000GraphicsGLDriver.bundle
AppleIntelHD5000GraphicsVADriver.bundle
So...
@nnware,
do you have any issue with display port?
When connecting the laptop to an external display, on 10.9 everything is working fine while on 10.9.2 the system immediately freezes
Yes, i'm using RehabMan's VoodooPS2Trackpad. T440 has internal battery under trackpad.
The same for me: wifi dongle works after wake up but I have to run again Wireless Utility software to connect to router.
BT is recognized by OSX during sleep (I can wake up by pressing magic mouse button)...
No, my trackpad is working flawlessly, never had any issue with it.
I've noticed that after waking from sleep sometimes my BT dongle is unable to pair again with the magic mouse and i need to restart.
Do you have any issue with usb devices after waking up?
As far as i know, the main issue is that our BIOS has a whitelist, so it probably won't accept a Broadcom or Atheros card and won't boot without disabling it.
To remove this we need to patch the BIOS: i've found a few guides regarding some Lenovo models, but nothing regarding T440 or T440s...
Yes, i have a card reader but it's not recognized by OSX so this is still something to fix (in case i'll post a solution).
The most annoying thing is the internal Intel WiFi & Bluetooth card that is not supported (BT sometimes works and sometimes not, so it's unreliable...).
I would have...
Using the debug kext i've found that all Fn+Fx keys generate PS2 codes while, without Fn, only F1, F2 and F3.
So my current solution consists in locking Fn key and mapping Fn+Fx:
Key
Lenovo T440 PS2 Code
ADB Code
Function
Fn +F1
3b
4a
Mute
Fn +F2
3c
49
Volume DOWN
Fn +F3
3d
48
Volume...
Ok thanks.
Now i'm only missing keyboard remapping...
It's not clear to me how the VoodooPS2Controller.kext works (https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Voodoo-PS2-Controller/wiki/How-to-Use-Custom-Keyboard-Mapping):
