Hi, I am also noob and also first hackintosh, for final cut, mine is now 6 months old and have to agree way forward is ssd boot drive, I also have a mac mini and the difference between them is amazing, also the cost of ssd now is so low.

Sorry if this seem daft, but I am building my first hackintosh and have had problems booting off ssd sometimes when I have a USB flash drive connected and then ok when I remove it, if you have one too try removing it.

Thanks for posting this, it's an interesting read and will be for all those who like me own ocz ssd drives, may well be good for share holders but not sure if this will be good or bad for us end users.

Ive been using the Logitech C310 HD Webcam for a while now on my mac mini lion on my 37" tv via hdmi , it gives an ok picture but not fantastic , however it is cheap in the uk £24.50 at the moment from Amazon
