I quote myself as I've semi-solved the issue... I'm now getting proper CPU throttling but it seems it won't go further than x39. (even if I'm using the 4.2 Modded SSDT)
Anyway what I did is to manually input the core multipliers into the bios, before it was set to auto. Does someone know how to...
Sry for being so late XD! Anyway no... on my rig the Serial Ata chipset is recognized as "Intel 6 Series Chipset". Mind that I've disabled in the bios every other SATA controller as I don't need em.
If you are using those then more kext may be needed!
Hi brycv
Here is my untouched DSDT.dsl for the Asus Maximus IV 3203 Patched Bios.
Thanks for your efforts dude!
p.s. I recall from previous failures that to correctly compile the DSDT this line is needed to avoid some SIOS error. I wasn't able to find it in the common patches but that's...
Thank you for all your efforts samisnake! That 3203 for my Max IV extreme is a real bless :D!
Still I would like to ask if there is a chance that we'r gonna see an updated .txt patch for it too, if it's still of some use. I tried to do it on my own but apart from a semi successful slicing job...
Try to use the AZALIA to HDEF patch that comes with the DSDT patcher archive. I don't have needs for the onboard audio and the esata so I never tested those, but I fear that a serious rework of the dsdt is needed with the new bios and I totally lack the skill to do so
:( .
I strongly advise to use the txt patches. Use DSDT Editor ( it's best to run it from a linux / or windows installation otherwise It wouldn't extract the proper DSDT ) and then apply the patches attached to my prev posts.
Hi again. I managed to "frankenstein" a little more my previous DSDT.
I imported some lines from another patch.txt made for a P8Z68 GEN3 mobo and now only this lines are still giving a compilation error:
into method label _DSM parent_adr 0x001F0003 remove_entry;
into device name_adr...
Hi ! I have the very same issue.
Anyway I managed to edit the patches.txt file found on Oralila.
I had to remove a couple of lines in order to compile successfully, and I guess that those lines where related to HDEF edits ( so I guess the audio card ) and another maybe related to HPET.
Sadly...
Strangely the hiccups are now gone. I've tried reinstalling with my patched DSDT plus leaving some kexts enabled in MultiBeast to avoid Kpanics. But now I'm unable to shutdown the system properly (even with Evoreboot.kext)...
Could someone point me in the right direction on how to patch the...
Hi everyone! First of all I would like to thank you all the community around here ... even if this is my first post all the knowledge dwelled in those post helped me a great deal!
I've built an hackintosh based on Lion with the following spec:
Intel 2600K
Asus Maximus IV Extreme Z
12Gb Ram...
