Hi, same problem on 10.12.6 for me. BTW rx580 + r9-280 works (or even with 2x 280 cards). Tried each rx580 card apart and they work... but not together. I'm going to upgrade to High Sierra on a clone disk to give a try. Thanks I installed High Sierra and it now they rock !!! 10.3.2 + fcpx...

Thanks for the advice. I updated to Sierra with RX 580 8GB( with lily and whatevergreen kexts, SMBIOS 15,1), same perfs under Bruce X FCPX (19s) but much better display and quiet. BTW When I plug a second RX 580, I can't boot (black screen before log page). I a put a R9-280 & RX 580 it boots...

Hi, I have MB Asus z170 pro - 32 GB ram - SSD - i7-6700k 4 ghz - 10.11.6 and many FCPX plugins With single r9-280x : bruceX : 19s (without plugins : 12-13sec) With dual r9-280x crossfire : 13s Not so bad for cost/compatibility/performance ? Any idea of a most powerful GPU for FCPX ?

Hi, have an i7-860 overclocked, ga-ud3. Everything is ok but fans are always working at high speed. I set the fan control in bios but when cpu idle or full load, the fans speed is still the same (and so on a bit noisy). How can i get rid of this ??? Thanx for your answers. framzy
