[SOLVED]unibeast hanging at com_lnx2mac_RealtekRTL81xx....
Alright so as predicted I had issues with the video card. I ended up using the kexts from post #3 of this thread http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-lion-desktop-support/101395-sapphire-6870-doesnt-boot-10-8-4-a.html
and then rolling...
got it booted. I had to reinstall the video card and use the DVI output on that instead of using the onboard motherboard HDMI output. I'm not sure if when I try booting into OSX after installation I'll end up with the white screen, but it's installing now so we'll see.
Also no idea why all of...
alright i did that, however now I'm hainging at [IOBluetoothHCIController][start] -- completed
I also noticed that when I reinstall the wifi card it hangs right after it's loading that up too. So I'm thinking whatever it is trying to load during boot that usually comes after those things...
So something got effed up when I tried to do the recent 10.8.4 update, so instead of trying to get it working I figured it was probably time for a clean install anyway.
Got my unibeast 2.0.1 set up with the latest mtn lion from the app store. Boot using flags that previously worked from my...
Article: OS X 10.8.2 Update
after updating and not being able to boot, this worked perfectly.
I have a XFX 6870 so I knew that was the problem as soon as the computer was hanging at the boot logo

and USB3 settings are also on default. Whenever I...
works just fine. I noticed small lagging on my original upgrade from Lion to ML. Since this fresh install no issues though
Update though, audio just randomly stopped working. Gonna reinstall the kext and see if it helps
GA-Z68XP-UD3 UEFI U1g - Radeon 6870 - NO DSDT
Did a fresh install tonight of mountain lion. It was working alright before with BIOS10 and DSDT but I wanted to update the bios and just start fresh.
My install went as follows:
Download Mtn Lion, install Unibeast on thumb drive.
Upgraded...
i updated. Worked fine for me. No issues so far
Got to agree with some above statements though. Not a single feature I will use in this update. I thought powernap would be a sweet feature, but of course it's only for macbooks :\
i had the same issue, and after a few hours of messing around with various boot flag combinations, different hardware plugged and unplugged....I found that somehow my BIOS settings had reverted to default and was back in IDE mode. Switched it back to AHCI and everything booted right up.
Currently have a decent Gateway DX4200 pc (Phenom x4, 6GB RAM, Radeon 3400hd). But installing OSX on it has been to much of a pain in the arse so i figured I'd take the opportunity to just upgrade my setup.
I have made this parts list with the intention of using custombeast as I've already...
