The U430 perfect!!! One of the very few PC's that looks pretty sleek. There just so happens to be a guy selling it on Craigslist in my area for half the price of the new one so yeah. Super cheap college laptop right there. Huge thanks! Just saved me a bunch of money lol
Hey!!
I've been into hackintoshing for a few years on desktops but never really moved into the area of laptops. I'm going to college this fall and need a laptop to dual boot OS X and Windows. Something that looks nice. I've been searching for a couple days and can't seem to find a beautiful...
WOW! That's pretty amazing. I never thought you could fit an entire functioning ITX build that is almost the same size as the actual Mac Pro! And I love how you actually used a trash can to make it lol
Well I read that TCL announced a 50" 4K monitor for $1,000. Comes out September of this year...might just jump on that...kinda big to use as a monitor though lol.

Hey sorry for the late reply!
As far as I know I really didn't do anything to fix it... I did update to OS X 10.8.4 Beta 1 (pretty easy) but I'm pretty sure that I updated right after the problem was fixed because I wouldn't had been able to even install the new update unless it would mount...
[Solved] Cannot mount any FAT volumes on USB or SSD
Bump!
Just found out the hack recognizes a USB device thats formatted FAT in Disk Utilities but cannot access its files (But a flash drive formatted as Mac OS Extended works perfectly fine), and in Disk Utilities, on the sidebar, the device...
I'm trying to install Windows 7 on my hack, but whenever I boot it gives me a 0xc000009 error...realized I forgot to create a new partition for Windows so I tried and it gave me the error as shown in the attachment. Before that I realized I couldn't format a USB drive as a FAT volume and just...
Sigh...knew I should've waited until someone with my board tried updating. Its a GA-H61N-USB3 and after the update (I didn't run Multibeast previous to the installation assuming that only graphics or audio problems would need to be fixed) it won't boot in safe or verbose and always ends with...
Guess a little less than a week or few months but now I narrowed it down to the edited AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext (to allow integrated HD 3000 VGA support). As soon as I installed that on the new partition it started hanging...but I don't believe there are any alternatives to this kext...so...
I'm just gonna get around to it in like a few weeks, maybe even months from now lol, don't feel like going through that whole process again unless I have to...Already have some a lot of boot errors and I don't remember how to fix them, I'll google it eventually, but my SSD is already past 3/4...
Okay. I'll do a clean install and install all the extra kexts that got it to work (other than Multibeast) one by one and see which one makes it do that...thanks for the suggestions! and I'll post when I'm finished, which might be a few days because I've been kinda busy
Hey!
I've Had this problem for a while, and I recently upgraded to an SSD in hopes of speeding up boot time...It did of course! but it has always hung at a certain place when booting even with a regular hhd. Sits there for about 7 seconds, and there was one time where it just decided (for no...
Hey!
I too have this problem, I'm sorry I don't have a solution, but were in the same boat...It has this like 7 second pause that the computer just sits there...just bought an SSD and still waiting like 15 seconds to boot, but if this pause would disappear it would be like 7 or 8 seconds...
I'm freaking out! same thing here...also checked the internet and I'm kinda scared this problem won't have a fix for a while. And I really hope that Legionariopk is wrong about this because my Hack would no longer be worth using without iCloud and the App Store...
Ahhh okay I realized that I only have resolution...but no acceleration, so I'm assuming that means the AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext is fine, but the one that isn't is the AppleIntelHDGraphics.kext? Is that correct and what editing was done to that kext if what I think is right?
Hey,
so I have the same mobo as you and a i3-2105, and I too am using a VGA monitor...but I have been searching for WEEKS online trying to find someone who knows how to get QE/CI working on HD 3000 and a VGA monitor. I tried the link although no results :/ I tried editing the tables, but...
