    [SOLVED] Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080/1070

The web drivers don't work for your 770? I also didn't need to tweak anything to get macOS to boot without hardware acceleration but I wouldn't say that means it's booting "just fine." It works great until you need to do something complex like scrolling down on a webpage o_O

    [SOLVED] Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080/1070

That's lucky, but the lower resolution is a bit of a bummer. Which SMBios are you using? Do you have hardware acceleration under the 1080?

    [SOLVED] Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080/1070

I'm not an authority on the subject as I'm pretty noob at Hackintosh, however I can say that I got mine working by: 1. Setting default GPU in bios to iGPU 2. Booting with nv_disable=1 3. Installing Web Drivers +++ (At this point I had black screen on boot issues [iMac 17,1] which I resolved...

    [SOLVED] Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080/1070

That looks pretty bad, but just because Apple has shut the door for the time being does not mean that will be the case forever. Again, this could be strategic on Apple's part: a lot of people are buying computers around Xmas and Apple are releasing new iMacs and Mac Pros soon, it would be a bad...

    [SOLVED] Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080/1070

My guess at this stage would be that Apple felt Pascal support would hurt sales of their new/upcoming computers and asked Nvidia to hold off. I don't know how drivers work but it seems odd to me that the Titan X (Pascal) would be supported but the consumer Pascal cards wouldn't be. I'm guessing...

Getting stuck waiting for AppleACPICPU, can't figure this out

UPDATE 3: It'z werking! Holy cow! What did it in the end was to use Pike's AGDPfix (in .app form), I also had to make a separate config.plist file to disable System Integrity Protection (SIP) (because apparently Recovery Mode doesn't work on Hackintoshes.) But first I was unable to open...

    [SOLVED] Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080/1070

Hopefully 'whether or not there are any new Macs with Pascal GPUs' won't be the sole criterion determining MacOS Pascal support. I'm sure there are many professionals using Hackintosh (who also have MacBooks etc) that want both Titan XP's and Sierra. I think it would be a mistake on the part of...

    [SOLVED] Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080/1070

That's a great idea, how does the other card affect your Win install? So I could get like a GT 710 or whatever for OSX if I don't need any graphically demanding apps on that side?

    [SOLVED] Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080/1070

Hey Garner, thanks for the reply. Tbh I could care less if I had proper GPU optimization, im just stuck with the problem of app windows loading like BLOCK-BLOCK-BLOCK-FU under the HD530 plugged into the mobo with (supposedly) intel drivers. Have I screwed up the iGPU drivers? I honestly don't...

    [SOLVED] Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080/1070

Hey guys, The Metal job openings seem like a good sign to me, it doesn't seem like the type of thing NV would do if they didn't have plans to work with Apple at least. I wish NV would move their butts though, this is killing me! I built my skylake rig for making music and gaming, but I didn't...
