Complete success. The info and required files can be found by googling i225-Vmod.zip
tested in my ancient macOS 12.0.1 boot drive.
redacted screen grab as proof:
Hi @asharkey I haven't had any problems with the BIOS, but I'm on a Vision G with no Thunderbolt card so I can't speak to any hot plug issues. Stability has been fine under stress, but with my particular chip, I'm running a fixed voltage of 1.280v, and loadline calibration: low. Anything less...
For that price it might be easier to just get the onboard audio working again, I’m not sure off the top of my head that there is anything in that price range… but maybe others have solutions!
I believe I have solved my issue of USB drives disconnecting during sleep: The issue seemed to pop up after a RAM upgrade (went from 32GB of 2400MHz ram to 64GB of 3200MHz ram), and it seems that downclocking the RAM to 2666MHz has solved the issue.
Correct! My system has no issues at all, just last night upgraded to OC 0.7.6 + 11.6.2 without issue. I’d go up to Monterey but I’m still waiting for a solution for the i225V Ethernet.
Update: left it sleeping overnight. USB drives disconnected during sleep. This is unrelated to the BIOS update as it is something that I have been experiencing since around Big Sur 11.5 (not exactly sure when it started). Still trying to sus that one out.
I don't have a thunderbolt card (Vision G) so I can't speak to that. Sleep/wake seems to work fine as well. I'll do a deep sleep cycle tonight and see what happens (aka if my drives unmount as they are wont to do since sometime around 11.5)... but so far so good!
P.S. Z490 Vision G Bios F21 is working fine withe OC 0.7.5 and OSX 11.6.1 on my rig!
(haven't thoroughly tested but it boots and doesn't do anything strange at idle/light use)
