Hi Middleman,
thank you for your answer!
I was able to get the data of my efi via booting into windows and mounting the efi there.
If I compare my efi with yours, there are a lot of differences, especially that clover configurator was unable to read your efi, so I tried OpenCore configurator...
Hey,
I had a working system running Mojave for a long time, now on Catalina I'm stuck after clover selects mac os.
What happened:
1. Installed mac os catalina 10.15.3 successfully
- Had to change SMBIOS to MacPro7,1 cause no other setting booted (every other setting I tried had a black screen...
There is only one M.2 Slot on this board. (Or i can't find the second ^^)
The SM951 is running well as storage with my 850 EVO as boot-drive. But i would prefer the SM951 as boot-drive.
Yes, MultiBeast is the second thing i do after the installation completes. (first is connect my trackpad and apple wireless keyboard)
So the EFI shouldn't be empty?
I've got a SM951 installed in my setup, the speed is 2x -> 3x faster than a Samsung 850 EVO (500MB/s).
So, the speed is great and price isn't that high.
This doesn't fix my problem.
My steps:
1. run Unibeast -> mount EFI -> put NVMe kext into EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.11
2. install osx
3. run MultiBeast 8.2.2
4. mount EFI of System-Drive -> EFI is empty?
4.1 after using terminal diskutil list -> EFI is listed, but not mountable via EFI Mounter v3 or...
I'm able to see the SM951 in clover and chose it as boot-partition. But during the boot-process it crashes: http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/el-capitan-skylake-not-bootable.192421/
I don't know how you get the SM951 working as a boot-drive.
The installation is working well, but booting of the SM951 is impossible.
Setup: SM951 on a GA-Z170X-UD5 TH with a i7 6700k.
Hi Stork,
i do not own a ASUS Board, but a M.2 NVMe SSD.
I followed your guide to install OSX on my M.2 (SM 951 MZ-VPV256), but after installing and running MultiBeast the system won't boot.
Checklist:
OSX 10.11.4
newest MultiBeast
NVMe kext
There seem to be no special configuration in your...
There seem to be some problems with the NVMe driver in my setup, so i'll stay with the 850 evo ;)
As you stated in your first post:
I've got the same problem.
Do you use a bluetooth dongle? Without it my system shuts down correctly.
We are not alone with this problem...
