    USB audio decays within seconds

As brilliant as RehabMan is, I am having trouble following his instructions. I'm no genius, but I'd like to think I can follow directions, but I get lost very easily with what he's suggesting. Is there a simplified instructional for getting this done?

    USB audio decays within seconds

Wow, no, I have not tried that. Hoping my brain can wrap around what to do. Thanks for the reply and direction! I'll give this a shot tonight when I get home.

    USB audio decays within seconds

Hi all! And Happy New Year! I've just finished updating my OS to Sierra. Probably the last update I'll do on this system before I build my next Hackintosh. After installing the full version of Sierra, almost everything worked, except my USB audio interface (Focusrite Scarlett 18i20). I mean...

    Where are the DSDT's?

I've gone to the DSDT Database and found the right one for my motherboard and BIOS version, but I don't see anywhere on the page to download the DSDT file. I've just updated my old system from El Capitan to Sierra and am still learning, so please go easy on me. I feel a bit noonish right now...

    Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R rev.2 - no sound on 10.12.6

I'm having this issue as well. I actually had some very crappy sound initially, but now have nothing since removing some of the kexts in my library and system folders. I have tried my best at following various tutorials on getting the sound working on Sierra. No luck. This has got me stumped.

    Bluetooth Dongle on 10.11

Just got the IOGear dongle. Works well. I'll need to get a USB extension to improve the signal (my computer is in another room because of noise), but it did the trick. Sucks that Microsoft has limited OS X support for the Arc Surface mouse, but I'm not going to complain. Was tired of the scroll...

    Bluetooth Dongle on 10.11

Thanks, Vulgo. Much appreciated. I'll order the DayKit Mini and give it a shot. In the meantime, I ordered this one after seeing some positive posts: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007GFX0PY/?tag=tonymacx86com-20. Thoughts?

    Bluetooth Dongle on 10.11

Hey everyone, I've seen other threads about Bluetooth dongles on a Hackintosh, but I am having a massively hard time following what everyone is doing. I'm not typically a slouch with tech, but this one is messing with me bad. I bought a Broadcom-based Bluetooth 4.0 Dongle (BCM20702) and...

No "add printer" dialogue in El Capitan

Any other ideas? I'm tapped out and can't find anyone else online who has encountered this issue.

MacPro 6,1 shows as iMac (Late 2009)

Might not be as bad as I thought. Looks like a MacPro5,1 (mid-2012), based on the components. Still, that's not what the guy sold me.

MacPro 6,1 shows as iMac (Late 2009)

I think I understand what you're saying. Based on the hardware I have, the guy who sold me the Hackintosh recently likely used something like Clover to make it look like it was a MacPro6,1, when, in actual fact, it is an earlier model. More likely a MacPro4,1. I'm a very genuine person and love...

MacPro 6,1 shows as iMac (Late 2009)

Any chance you'd know how to resolve a glitch in the Printer & Scanner pane, whereby clicking on the + button does nothing?

MacPro 6,1 shows as iMac (Late 2009)

Sometimes I fly by the seat of my pants. I am not as techy as I'd like to think I am, but I get by. Thanks to your help, my system now reads as a Mac Pro. Thank you!

MacPro 6,1 shows as iMac (Late 2009)

I'm going through the guide and everything is making sense... right up until I get to simpleMBL.sh. No idea what that is or how to obtain it. I thought maybe it was a generic file available on tonymacx86, but I can't find it. Thought I'd ask. As for the rules, this process is helping figure out...

MacPro 6,1 shows as iMac (Late 2009)

That's cool. So, my next question is, how do I change this information once I have it?

MacPro 6,1 shows as iMac (Late 2009)

Not a huge issue, but I'd rather not see "iMac" as my computer when it is a MacPro. Before I upgraded to El Capitan, I was running Yosemite and the system showed up as MacPro 6,1. I've gone into Multibeast and specifically selected MacPro 6,1. Any thoughts?

No "add printer" dialogue in El Capitan

Already done. Pretty much anything that could be done under normal circumstances has been done, short of erasing everything and starting from scratch... which is not much of an option. I was hoping this was a common problem with a simple solution, but the best I've found are people whose...

No "add printer" dialogue in El Capitan

Hi VioletDragon, No, it's connected via USB and actually a shared printer. When I was using Yosemite, it worked perfectly through my PC upstairs. The moment I switched to El Capitan, I could no longer add a printer. I even brought the printer down to my Hackintosh and plugged it directly into...

No "add printer" dialogue in El Capitan

I've just upgraded my Hack system to El Capitan and mostly everything is good, except I cannot add a printer. ANY printer. I go to System Preferences -> Printers & Scanners, go to click on the +, but nothing happens. I've even tried adding a printer from Word. No luck. Please help! I have...
