It will be easier to do a mod with the Desktop G5 than the imac G5. Why don't you just keep it for when you have enough money to mod it with a NUC or similar?

Did you solved it? You don't need to buy any disc, there are other ways to get a bootable installer. If it is an Intel-based you can run the installer with a pendrive. Also, you never told us any other detail about your iMac :shifty: If you can tell me more about it (specifically the model) I...

I have just the same symptoms, but with so many capacitors broken in the PSU. I didn't have time to check if that is the real reason, but I will try to repair the PSU as soon as possible.

Well, yes, those are good reasons to stay with eagle. But maybe in the future we will need to move almost 1 time to any other PCB design software if we want to do an unified PCB with connections and SMC. Just because Eagle (for non-commercial use) is so expensive (I guess 150 dollars....)...
