Sorry. I am pretty sure this has been asked but I could not find any resources on this:
Why is it not possible to build a "perfect" Hackintosh?
I.e. one you can run without any UniBeast etc.
I have a Gigabyte H87-HD3 motherboard.
PART SOLUTION:
I had a external HDD attached via USB. Since I removed this the crashes got much less, but still occur when I use Flash sometimes (e.g. streaming a movie).
Halp!
Have the same problem: random crashes on a running system. Message is always
13.12.13 19:18:18,697 parentalcontrolsd[303]: StartObservingFSEvents [849:] -- *** StartObservingFSEvents started event stream

Hey,
did you solve it?
I have exactly the same config and random freezing problem. In the console it says:
09.12.13 16:24:10,000 kernel[0]: **** [IOBluetoothHCIController][SearchForTransportEventTimeOutHandler] -- Missing Bluetooth Controller Transport!
Hey,
I have Vt-d disabled.
My hardware is:
board: Gigabyte GA h87 HD3
cpu: xeon 1230 v3
gpu: nvidia geforce 660 ti
I installed Multibeast DSDT Free + Realtek audio drivers ALC 892
Hey,
I have random crashes around every hour. In the console there is always this message before the crash. Anyone knows what it means?
kernel[0]: **** [IOBluetoothHCIController][SearchForTransportEventTimeOutHandler] -- Missing Bluetooth Controller Transport!
Thank you!

Everything works fine. I can play Bioshock Infinite for hours. But whenever I use flash, be it in Chrome or Safari, my hackintosh crashes at around 20 to 100 minutes of playback (e.g. streaming a movie, listening to google play).

Since this problem still exists in 10.9 Mavericks, I'll re-post some older solution of mine that still works for me (http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/90315-nvidia-driver-random-crashes-when-using-chrome-flash.html).
This problem still exists in 10.9 Mavericks (and has nothing to do with the Nvidia drivers, since in Mavericks I haven't installed them).
I had random crashes with Chrome. It took me ages to remember my own thread :-)
Problem solved again!
I changed my DSDT.aml with MaciASL and the hdef_audio_id_1.txt patch to layout id 1.
I saved and compiled the DSDT (with a warning: Unknown reserved name _WDG).
I reran Multibeast.
But after the restart IORegistryExplorer tells me that the layout id is still <79 03 00 00>.
What can I do?
OK, so out of a sudden I have a wrong Audio Id, right?
Isn't Multibeast supposed to set the Audio Id to 1 when I run the ALC889 with DSDT option?
However, I will try to change the ID by myself. Thank you.
Thank you for your quick answer.
Why are you so sure? In some threads people tell it helped them to replace the IOAudioFamily.kext with the old one (e.g. http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/92750-gigabyte-z77-ds3h-10-8-3-no-sound.html).
I already tried to delete the AppleHDA.kext and...
I have no audio after update to 10.8.3.
Some people wrote they had to replace the IOAudioFamily.kext with the recent one from 10.8.2.
Does anyone know where to download the old IOAudioFamily.kext?
Solved it!!!
It was caused by the default chrome flash plugin (pepper flash 11.6.602.171) that is integrated in chrome. This may cause crashes.
Install regular adobe flash from adobe HP
open chrome
enter: about:plugins
press +Detail (in the upper right corner)
there must be two...
