    Hi Rehabman. I know I've installed it with KextWizard. I still can see it in S/L/E and if i remove it none if the usb ports will work. Install it back, all ports are cool. I have tried that. Is there another possibility? Thanks.

    I'm not sure what I did wrong but if you look at the screenshot, they are all grey. My box is quite old actually so I only have USB2 ports. Thanks a lot for your guide.

    I like the idea of custom injector but not really sure how to find out the active ports. I had a look the box with IOReg but information is a bit too much. Where is the other examples you mentioned please?

    Thank you RehabMan for a very detail post. I followed your instructions and got my USB working again on my laptop but I am using the USBInjectAll.kext. In the README file you stated that it should not be a permanent solution but I am not very sure what else can be done. If you have some time...
