[Guide] El Capitan on the Skylake Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming-ITX/ac

I have, maybe I should try the clover EFI partition instead of S/L/E Edit: funny thing is, on the EFI partition it works! won't show up in sysprofiler though... that's a bit weird. Even when I plug in an usb stick I see it in finder yet not in sys profiler. Edit2: found out why; since...

That's not what he means, so far sleep won't work on this board, tried all the settings. On a different note... has anyone gotten the 3.1 ports to work? just usb3.0 speeds would be ok. For me it doesn't even show up whatever I try... no need now but I would use it in a near future if I could.

[Guide] El Capitan on the Skylake Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming-ITX/ac

The new Bios 1.60 came out today, adds some mem compatibility and oc stability claimed by the release info. Haven't test sleep with this one but tried all options for dark wake with bios 1.50 without success. I thing to remember once you upgrade the bios you have to reset the bios and change...

Are you using the 10.11.2 installer instead of the 10.11.0? The .0 and possibly .1 don't have support for this smbios. However it can be edited if needed.

[Guide] El Capitan on the Skylake Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming-ITX/ac

Yeah, I actually found out the hard way by plain trying, was nothing te be found on it. On a hunch started to adding info and behold I got 8GB again but for 1 stick.... turned out the ports are 0 and 2 instead of 0 and 1. Another fun thing; I don't need to exclude USB ports; they all seem to...

[Guide] El Capitan on the Skylake Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming-ITX/ac

For your info; bought this board the other day and it does boot from the Samsung 950 Pro with the driver from Macvidcards just like you can read everywhere. Got a funny issue though; my setup only displays half the ram! When I initially installed it it showed 16GB but now after applying all...

Kind of an opposite compatibility question for Wifi in a hackintosh

Got one of these with an AR9280 (original Apple) card in it and it works just fine in win7/8 for 3 years now.

Hackintosh with Dual 27" Cinema Display possible?

This is freaky, but I got the exact same setup, with a 2600k instead of a regular 2600. On my HIS6870 2x 27" Led Cinemas run like a charm. Also that board works as close to a real mac as possible, even the realtek nic now with the new kext. I'd say if you need it get that 2nd screen.

    Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium PCIE

Well I'll see what I can do, but I have no receiver with digital in (that's why stereo output is so important to me). If 5.1 is what you're looking for might onboard just not do for you? There are plenty of boards with working optical out on board.

    Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium PCIE

Check this post, it's pretty much all you need; http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index. ... &p=1777563 Right now the card isn't in use as I'm planning another built but the card does wonders. Besides the headphone jack + jack out I haven't tried any of the other ports I"m afraid as I only care...

Try the builds from here; http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showforum=165 They have nice plugins too, with iStats I can see the load on the gnu now, plus fan speeds and cpu temp :)

    GTX680 works in OS X

That's what I did, did a file by file comparison from both the mbp update + extracted files. I do this quite often from de dev builds in order to resolve gfx issues I have personally and at work. Right now I don't have the gtx680 over and a clean hackintosh so can't test my new package, but it...

AMD Radeon HD 6970 Working in OS X

I made this package; http://www.speedyshare.com/GeeWU/OSX-Up ... 20.pkg.zip While I don't have a 69xx card it works beautifully on a 6870, no kernel panics, not stuck on boot. Also includes intel + nvidia kexts, compared file by file from both the MBP update and some files posted on the netkas...

Made a new package: http://www.speedyshare.com/GeeWU/OSX-Up ... 20.pkg.zip Combined MBP update + new files, tested on ATi + nVidia Slight fps increase in benches for ATi, can't comment on nVidia.

    GTX680 works in OS X

Try smbios.plist for MacPro3,1 as that one works the best for most people. MacPro 4 and 5 are known to cause problems due lack of ECC ram.

    GTX680 works in OS X

    I don't use multi beast, add everything manually for full control. -> installed lion from appstore -> chameleon installed (currently rev 1996) -> smbios.plist iMac12,2 -> DSDT.aml + SSDT.aml -> FakeSMC.kext, ALC8xxHDA.kext for Realtek ALC892 That's it, a 100% working mac with as few additions...
