I have a GTX 460, and the boot flags didn't help me. I booted to single user, then removed files via terminal nv*.kext and GeForce.kext. That fixed my boot issues. The problem now is that since I deleted the files,I get the basic VGA mode, and I can't get my res adjusted.

Alas, when I ran the NVIDIA "official" updater, it provided me with: No driver update is needed for this system. This system already has drivers which support this NVIDIA graphics solution. I am MacPro 3.1. It looks like I have to wait for the Universal.
