Just so you know, I have some knowledge when it comes to computers in general, but i've just been working with Windows and Linux before, so Apple stuff is all new to me.
I have installed OS X 10.10 on my Hp ProBook 640 G1 and, as expected, my computers wifi card wasn't compatible with OS X, so to fix it, i bought an USB WiFi adapter.
The adapter, an Asus USB-N10 Nano, uses the Realtek RTL8188CUS chipset and is compatible with OS X and does work on my laptop. But to use it i have to use Realteks Wireless Network Utility. This software is not only ugly, it also has to be opened, and then stay open, after every system start to establish a connection.
Is it possible to use this, or any other, USB WiFi adapter as a normal WiFi card and connect through OS X's built in WiFi manager?
I've searched the web but couldn't really find a good answer.
