I saw here that this usb wifi key could be installed on mac os 10.8.4 then i bought one. Unfortunately, i didn't know there were 2 version for it, and i can't find any driver to install it. the driver should be a RTL8188EUS.
Where could i found a solution?
Thank you

(sorry for my english)

Realtek drivers : http://www.realtek.com/downloads/searchView.aspx?keyword=RTL8188EUS

I don't see the one that you mention, double check that it is correct. Note some people using different hardware have noted that using the correct drivers for 10.8 have not worked. Some people have found that using the 10.7 drivers on 10.8 worked. Either way you must use the correct RTL8188 version.

i tried with every drivers given, but still i can't get it working! is there any way i could do it by myself ? I've found something about that driver, i don't know if that could help https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8188eu

Well I have no idea - thats why I like using recommended items from the buyers guide. If standard code does not work, I don't want to go messing around with it - its just not one of my skill sets.

Wow, I just bought one of these yesterday thinking it would work easily, Installed the driver, restarted afew times, Wont work, cant see the connection in the system prefs > network and i cannot run the app supplied after installed it lets me click it but i see nothing..

I dont want to take out my Bluetooth / Wifi card that came with the pc since it runs so nice on Windows so maybe this is whats causing it but i highly doubt it because ive ran lots of different setups with multiple wifi connections using dongles. im just guessing my dongle is too new doesnt ahve same chipset... ?

Hackintosh is pretty wack now neways 2/3 monitor support, buggy built in audio, X79 is not solid imo

Now i cant evne get my Wifi working because i didnt keep any of my old Dlink working adapters,

So either way Im guessing since i have some version 2 or 3 now who knows maybe they arent the same driver, Im going to take this back since its within 24 hours and claim it doesnt work for me..

Some things are recommended because they have been tested and have been found to work reliably.

Yes your right, I only followed this wireless key because it was on the HCL!! i should of just followed this guide, The Dingleberry content build guide that ive been using works fine too, but ieven on the buyers guide there it doesnt mention that Z77 is alot more native then 2011. 2011 has no native cpu management.

I have the same device (well for temporary) v2 device ID is PID8179 and its chip # RTL8188EUS. I used this one here http://www.osx86.net/files/file/3539...n-v2-usb-wifi/
and its working fine on my 10.9

Cheers

I bought one v2 to make it work on my old macbook pro (with broken airport) on 10.6.8 and couldn't make any of the previous quoted in this thread. Doing some research I found another dongle with the same chipset that has a driver for os 10.4 to 10.9. After downloading its driver, the dongle is working fine.

This is the device:

You can download it's driver here:
