I would like to build a pair of i5 Core (Ivy Bridge or Haswell) HackBooks built from a commercially-available Windows-based PC, and have them run a pre-Mavericks OSX (such as OS 10.6 or OS 10.7 or OS 10.8). Moderately fast, but not superfast, just something that works better than an Apple MacBook.

Any advice on what to buy? I did not notice a specific instruction on this tonymacx86 website for building a Hackinstoch LapTop.

Ivy Bridge support in 10.7.5+.
Haswell support in 10.8.5+.
