Greetings,
Installed 10.8 on my system "see sig for specs"
Ran Multibeast 5.1.3 to install bootloader and dsdt file.
Reboot with -x -v to get back into 10.8 install.
Had to install IOPCIFamily Kext for 10.8 from netkas and cVad to overcome timing issue with SATA controller?
Installed IOAHCIBSInjector to get drive icons back. Using multibeast 5.1.3
Installed Realtek Gigabit Ethernet 2.0.6 for 10.7 to get ethernet working.
Rebooted into 10.8 fine, no longer needed the -x command.
Installed ALC887HDA.kext to install audio, then ran Multibeast 4.3.0 and used the AppleHDA Rollback and used ALC887/888b Non
DSDT to get audio working.
All items working properly, including appstore login, dvd player etc.
Now then, I downloaded the 10.8.2 combo update and ran it, then before rebooting I re-ran Multibeast 5.1.3 for bootloader and dsdt install.
Rebooted and got stuck at the PCI Configuration screen
Rebooted using -x -v from orig Unibeast install drive and was able to get into the desktop
Thinking it was the IOPCIFamily Kext causing problems I ran the following commands from http://blog.yerkanian.com/2012/09/2...for-root-device-on-os-x-10-8-2-mountain-lion/
Made sure after the changes made sure I repaired permissions and then re-booted, this time booting from the 10.8.2 HD, got stuck again at PCI Config screen, I could hear a couple of audio pops, then it just sits there again and never comes back to the login screen.
I cant boot from the 10.8.2 HD even using the -x -v commands, it freezes at the same spot PCI config, I have to resort using Unibeast to boot into the desktop using the -x -v commands, If I click about this mac it shows it updated to 10.8.2 but I cant boot from the 10.8.2 hard drive without the unit locking up.
THanks for any help or suggestion you can offer
