Updated to 10.8.2, keyboard & mouse not working. Help please

Hi I have just updated to 10.8.2 using the combo update and booted into safe mode to roll back
AppleACPIPlatform.kext and re install most things on Multibeast just to make sure.

Now I can't get my keyboard and mouse to work unless I'm in safe mode, any ideas?

My system,
Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3
Intel i5-3570k
Intel HD4000 integrated graphics.

Have you installed AppleACPIplatform.kext with kext utility?

I'd like to help but don't understand the "boot to safe mode" thing... Upgraded numerous machines from app store upgrade with out issue.​
 
I have the same problem and I did install it I belive. Is there a way to install it from the bootloader or from the terminal using installation flash disc?

Hi, thanks I have done this also rolled back the IOUSB Kexts but still can't use a keyboard and mouse unless I use -x from the boot loader. Keyboard works fine in the boot loader and bios.

any help would be great!
 
Thanks for the input, I installed the latest DSDT for my motherboard and that actually fixed the problem! Thanks for the help!
