Dear all,
I installed snow leopard first. Then I installed mountain lion on new partition successful by using unibeast usb. After installation, sound, graphics and network work very good although i don't install anything from multibeast. But mountain lion cannot boot from harddisk, it can boot by using unibeast usb. Please help me solve this problem.
P/s : because sound, graphics and network work very good. What are options of multibeast that i need to install ?
I'm new in hackintosh.
Thanks everyone

I am in the same boat, however I upgraded my working Lion install to ML, and only boots with created Boot USB drive.

The actual drive gives me the "bad magic number" error.

Also I seem to have a bit of artifacts with my GTX680, but nothing major really :D

ML Runs smooth, just not starting from the actual hard drive :p

Try reinstalling Chimera from Multibeast.

is there Boot0 error ?? if not
copy extra folder from unibeast to ur hard drive

you definitely need chimera from the bootloaders in Multibeast. Also get your DSDT and save it to desktop and then select user DSDT in Multibeast too. This should help with a few motherboard factors and booting.

What motherboard and graphics card are you using?

My mainboard is so old that I cannot find any DSDT file in database. ^^ So I installed EasyBeast from Multibeast and reboot Mountain Lion by using Unibeast. Everything is ok until the apple logo screen is displayed. Waiting for loading a little bit and my hackintosh PC goes to sleep. ^^ I repeat booting several times but the result is my PC still goes to sleep.
My hackintosh PC:
- Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 2,8 GHz
- Main : GA-EP31-DS3L
- VGA : NVidia Geforce 9500 GT
- Ram : 2GB DDR2 bus 1066

Use the standalone version of chimera. It is a newer version than the one built into multi beast.

I installed chimera 1.11.0 but mountain lion cannot boot from hard disk. I think the problem is the snow leopard which I installed on the same drive before. I installed mountain lion and snow leopard on the same drive but on different partitions. Snow leopard is installed first. So when booting, the selecting OS menu like Unibeast is not displayed and snow leopard is always selected to boot. What will I do for dual boot mountain lion and snow leopard ? ^_^

I am also having a similar problem. I upgraded my system from Lion to Mountain Lion using unibeast. Upon booting from my startup drive in chimera I get a message that the startup kernel could not be found. If I boot from my unibeast USB drive, it goes right into Mountain Lion no problem. Tried going from chimera 1.11 back to the one in multibeast which is 1.10. Still the same result. Happy to have Mountain Lion working, but this is really weird since I started with Snow Leopard, upgraded to Lion and didn't see this issue.
