Hi all, I just managed my new hackintosh :

Asus p8z77-v le Motherboard (UEFI BIOS)
Intel Core i5-3570K ivy bridge
Gigabyte gt 640
Ram Corsair XMS3 DDR3-1600
120 GB Ssd Corsair Force 3
2TB HD WD green
Sony Optiarc optical Drive
Apple OS X Mountian Lion 10.8 + combo update 10.82
Trackball Explorer
Trust Keyboard
Samsung 27" LED Monitor + Asus 24" Lcd

-------

Instruction:

Before install, I've update bios with modified rom 0705, disabled LAN, Audio, Set PCIE as primary graphics card; then I've used
Unibeast method for installation, rebooted after installation still with unibeast usb driver, installed multibeast 5.2.0 with :

1. fakesmc +plugins
2. patched appleintelcpupowermanagement
3. System Definition : Mac Pro 3,1
4. Chimera

Used Kext Utility for cache and permission

put in Extra the selfmade org.chameleon.boot.plist with

- GE=NO
- usekernelcache=Yes
-Generate Cstates=yes
-Generate Pstates=yes

Then I've rebooted and installed the combo update 10.8.2 and RE-DO the multibeast operation again and ET VOILA'...my hackintosh is ready!!

:)

I have only 5 issues:

1) System go to sleep but it doesn't wake up: when I move the mouse the system seems to wake but monitor still get off

2)if I boot in verbose mode i see the famous msg: WARNING: IOPlatformPluginUtil : getCPUIDInfo: this is an unknown CPU model 0x3a
-- power management may be incomplete or unsupported

3) The SSD is fast in boot (it takes 5-7 seconds to boot up) but if I do a benchmark tests with BlackMagic Disk Speed Test the results are slow, 130 - 180 W/R :((( I don't know why

4) 3.0 Usb ports doesn't work with usb 2.0

5) Hw Monitor App works but doesn't display nothing. I've read macman post where he said that ASUS z77 board doesn't work with FakeSmc Plugin, so I think this issues can't be solved

If anyone can help me solving my issues I will be happy to give it a try :)

thanks
mauro

*****EDIT: I've tried differents sys def but the best score was with macpro 3,1 , I have 11700 points of geekbench 64 :)

here I am after several months of usage of the mac:

sometimes some usb ports need to be replugged like audio board and this is no good cause i use it as DAW;

the hackintosh doesn't go to sleep and also it doesn't shutdown: the system go shutdown but the cpu fan and also the psu stay ON.
This is terrible, I must shut down everything with the main On/off switch.

I have a similar build to yours:

P8Z77-V LE with 1001 BIOS (patched)
MSI 560TI with dual monitors
i5 3570k
OS X 10.8.5

I have 2 identified issues so far:
1. Sleep does not work but behavior is different from yours, my PC will go to sleep with fans shutting down but it wakes up 2 seconds later, tries to either boot or wake up and then shuts down again then reboots completely. I think I need to patch the DSDT and I did some reading over the last week but my assembly skills are very outdated.
