I've noticed that in the buyer's guide a lot of the recommended cases for ATX motherboard builds are Corsair Carbide cases.
However, most of those cases have been discontinued and are increasingly harder to find.
What should a builder do to find a case that will fit an ATX motherboard for their...
Forgive my noobness.
When I boot up my system, it boots up from the boot loader, in Configurator is called "EFI on APFS Container [High Sierra, PreBoot, recovery, VM]".
Have I been running this desktop the wrong way this whole time?
How would I even tell if I've been running my rig the...
I've just installed this security update...twice.
Each time I restart and launch the App Store, it tells me that the same update is available to install and doesn't show that it already was installed.
Is anyone else getting this?
Does this mean that there install never happened or it's an App...
Ok, great update here!
1- I just downloaded Multibeast for High Sierra onto my desktop.
2- Then I loaded in..
•3rd Party 3.0
•Remove XHCI USB Port Limit
&
•USBInjectAll (again)
3- Hit 'Build' and restarted.
4- Plugged my two external hard drives into the back of the rig via a USB hub I use...
I never had any of those extensions to begin with. I'm toying with past suggestions on the board now that I'm backing the office and post an update once I get a result. :) Thank you for the help!
Sorry to reply to an existing post, but I thought this was the most logical place to..well, rely to. :)
I've attached my current KextsToPatch list for you to see.
There is an AppleUSBXHCI kext in there, however it doesn't get the external drives to work. Do you think I should I toss it and build...
Sweet buttery Christmas, that fixed it! I can start up from the hard drive without the thumb drive. Thank you Mr-E4GLE!
Now if I can just get this beast to see external hard drives attached via USB, then I can actually use it for work.
Any awesome ideas for that? *hoping*
That is the only way I'm able to boot into my hackintosh, which is the problem. The hackintosh's clover won't recognize the internal hard drive as a book disk.
Just installed the newest Clover onto my rig.
Right now it boots up with the new 4700 Clover, but only shows the thumb drive as the only drive to choose, which loads for a second, then goes back to the Clover menu with the single thumb drive again.
It doesn't show the SSD that I installed High...
I was wondering about that. Which of the Clovers would you recommend for a Customac Pro build?
Would it be the "Clover UEFI Boot Mode v2.4k r4411" version for 7/8/9/100/200/300 Series UEFI based CustoMac systems?
I ask since I'm running a Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Gaming Wifi motherboard with an Intel...
I did. I have it in the OTHER folder in my EFI and yet the system still doesn't see my external hard drives.
Am I that dense and placed it in the wrong OTHER folder in the wrong EFI maybe?
Attached is my EFI selection in Configurator and my current list of kexts.
Please forgive my noob-ness. This is all alchemy for me.
Just added it to my plist, however my externals are not showing up on my desktop or profiler.
Thumbdrives work though. Is there something I'm missing?
