I have a similar system, I own a Ti750 and it does the same thing you described during boot. I'm also unable to use DVI connectors on my ASUS Gfxcard My monitor is not recognized (as a 13" instead of a 27") in VGA and I'm using a 800x600 res on my 1980x1080 native res. As mentioned before...
