The closest I could find is from this guy but its not the exact issue - https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/hackintosh-shutdown-during-boot-process.195643/
Anyone got any ideas on how to solve the issue?
Hi,
Long time hackintosh user but a noob at best so apologies in advance if this has been answered because I haven't been able to find anything that solves the problem below. The closest I could find is (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/diagnosing-random-shutdowns.256451/)
My hackintosh...
It will be on the root because my motherboard X58 did not have an option for UEFI as per the el capitan desktop guide (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/unibeast-install-os-x-el-capitan-on-any-supported-intel-based-pc.172672/#alt_post_install)
It seems that multibeast is changing something but...
I'm not sure if I should be looking in another directory or not hence why I am asking.
If the config.plist is either copied or stored somewhere other than the OS X/EFI/CLOVER folder then I could look there but I do not know if this is the case?
Also if when I run multibeast and change the...
Thanks P1LGRIM - any idea for where the config.plist is being read from if it does not recognise the the one in my EFI/CLOVER folder?
When I ran mutibeast it updated something to iMac 14,2 but I am not sure what file it did that to?
In the OS X/EFI-Backups/r4184/2017-09-01-23h58/EFI/CLOVER folder there is another config.plist
NOTE: I also have another folder in the r4184 directory called 2017-09-01-21h56 which also has another config.plist but that could be another clover install I tried to do twice?
I have noticed that in the OS X/EFI-Backups/r3320/2017-09-01-21h54/EFI/CLOVER folder it contains a config.plist with the mac pro in it.
Could this be the actual config.plist being read?
My about this mac shows Mac Pro (early 2009) still, I cannot think of where it could be reading the other config.plist from.
I have attached the config.plist from this directory: OS X/EFI/Clover/OEM/SystemProductName but not sure if this affects it.
I have the following on my boot disk:
1. EFI which contains the folders Boot & Clover
2. EFI backups which contains 2 folder: r3320 & r4184. Each of these folders have their own EFI & Clover folder containing a config.plist
Is this what you mean?
Thanks P1LGRIM, I have attached the config.plist
It was in my OS X/EFI/Clover folder but I also have another config.plist in the OS X/EFI/Clover/OEM/SystemProductName folder but this does not contain the serial number so must be an extra one created.
Long time hackintosh user but a noob.
My system spec is in sig.
As I have a Gigabyte x58A-UD5 rev 2.0 motherboard, I recall using clover legacy when creating my el capitan USB. I have downloaded the latest clover and attempted to edit my config.plist which it cannot find in the following...
I am following this guide - - I originally used the el capitan guide from the same guy 2 years ago.
I am getting the "This version of macOS 10.12.6 cannot be installed on this computer."
I changed by settings in clover from Mac Pro 4,1 to iMac 14,2 first using the latest clover which did not...
Thanks VioletDragon and Gigamaxx but considering the lack of upgrade options in the future for the 600 series card i.e. could not update to Sierra at a later date if I wanted to, I think a card which would also work on updated OSX would be beneficial. I am not sure if the GT 710 will let me do...
