My video card's name is a ATI Radeon 4870 1gb and it says it is an ATI Radeon 4800 with 1gb memory
My computer should play this game with no problems
( I usually play call of duty 4, it is a little more laggy...
I am looking at openGL extensions viewer now..
I cant seem to find anything about acceleration, where abouts should I be looking to?

Hey, I recently bought Rome total war from the app store, downloaded it and then installed it to my applications folder. I try to start it up and get:
"Rome Total War quit unexpectedly"
I'm not sure why its happening as I did do a little search on google but it seemed there wasnt anyone who...
Not a big issue, I have had a little search and I tried this:
- downloaded EFI Studio, selected Ethernet, selected Add Device. Then clicked write to com.apple.boot.plist.
- Then went to /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/apple.com.boot.plist and selected the new key and string it added...
From what I have been told the HD Radeon 9xxx series aren't supported on osx.
If I was you, create a new thread so that you more people can see your question also because I dont really know whether your integrated graphics would work, sorry!

I have got the 4890 now and what suprised me is it actually plays BF3 at low-medium graphics with little trouble. It was setup for overclocking tho and does have 1GB memory on it.
I am going to give this hack a go tomorrow, I have the patch for my motherboard, the DSDT...
