The world has changed since the last time they licensed their OS to other vendors; now, computers are a sideline for them. In fact, recently Anand mused concern that PCs had become a burden for Apple.
Mobile devices are not the next big money pool, they are the big money pool and they have made Apple rich. Desktops and laptops are now a sideline for them, as the graph supplied earlier shows, and have been for some years. That explains their indifference to their product line lacking an...
With Windows, it's the device manufacturer's responsibility to produce drivers, not Microsoft's, and that extends to the chipsets. It would be the same with Apple.
Microsoft's business model with regards to Windows centers on OEM licensing agreements with third parties like Dell. And with...
Modifying OSX to run on generic hardware would be simple. (Heck, we're doing it.) And Apple, now that they're "on their own," may be re-evaluating Jobs' stance on licensing OSX for other hardware. Their internal research may be suggesting that PC software margins are more lucrative than hardware...

It's hit-and-miss with point-and-click solutions...

Hello all:
My build has a GA-H67M-D2-B3 rev. 1.0 F5; I have installed 10.6.8 and everything works, including the 5670 video card, apart from sleep. From reading posts here, I am not the only one with this problem.
Can anyone suggest what might be the issue, i.e. USB? And what might fix it...
