Thank you so much for the quick response, Neil!
My BIOS is on version 4.
Unfortunately, I don't have another graphics card laying around. However, I may be able to borrow one from a friend.
If this doesn't work out, I suppose that I'll just upgrade to a newer series. I planned on...
Hey guys, I was hoping to get an answer on this. It is a really weird issue and I am not finding too much in my research.
I have the EVGA GTX 660 Ti. I upgraded from a z77 1155 chipset to a z97 1150.
It worked fine in the z77 board and when I transferred it to the new board, it did not...
Sorry I was meaning to do that but I was getting frantic trying to get this computer back up and running for this important job I had this past weekend.
I am starting to think that my EVGA GTX 660Ti might be shorted out. I hope I can get it working properly but I am not too high on hopes. I...
Thank you for your response. It does work with just the onboard graphics. And it does not work with the video card in at all with any settings. I actually just replaced the motherboard with this current one. The video card was working in the old one but now it is not.

Hi friends,
I updated my motherboard from a Z77 to a Z97 and likewise updated my CPU. I decided to update to Yosemite because there were too many problems reported with ML...
Okay, I went from almost the same exact system and upgraded to almost the same exact system.
I had a Gigabyte z77 with an Ivy Bridge i7 processor and EVGA GTX 660Ti and
My MOBO shorted out on me and I had to upgrade so I purchased a Gigabyte Z97-UD7 TH motherboard and an i7-4790K...
Okay. I didn't have time to waste. I was able to make a clone of my original SSD (thankfully) and so I installed Yosemite. I got Yosemite to boot with only 1x8GB stick of ram and working from the Intel Integrated Graphics.
I tried to install my EVGA GTX 660 Ti video card. I went into the...
Thank you everyone for the thread. I had read through and couldn't find too much help for my problem.
2 weeks ago my mother board fried and I had to get a new one ASAP. Originally I had a Gigabyte Z77 1155 chipset mobo. I was going to replace it but the specific mobo I had was so much more...
I searched the web and I could not find much help in the matter. I figured I'd ask you guys here. I built a rack mount machine for music and media serving purposes and I do not get nearly enough airflow and my CPU often runs >65C. And I am concerned about stability and longevity.
Thank you...
The point would be to get it to boot so I don't have to spend several days reacquiring all of the software and plugins and several more hours installing them.
It would be most convenient for me to transfer the hard drive over and get it to boot up and then update the OS to Mountain Lion.
I currently have a build that is working with 10.6.8. I want to transfer my SSD boot drive to another build that follows the parts for a CustoMac Ivy Bridge MacBro build in the CustoMac build guide. Is it possible to transfer my hard drive and boot using multibeast or iBoot on the new build? I...
