Hi, I have a Gigabyte Z77N motherboard and am considering adding the Gigabyte GC-THUNDERBOLT 2 PCIe card. Does anyone know if the native intel Z77N graphics would automatically route through and be available on the displayport connection on the Thunderbolt card? My reason for wanting this, is...

    2560*1440 on my Hackintosh

Hi - I see you didn't get a response to this, but wondered what you ended up doing? Did you get the AT-DP400, and if so what is the resolution/performance like?

Solved: z77n GTX 660 ti Display Wake from Sleep

Hi all, Thought I would share a modest victory with you. PROBLEM: On wake form sleep the display remained black, but every thing else woke up (i.e. disks spinning, system sounds from display speaker etc). Required a power down, cycle of the mains supply, wait 5 secs and reboot for display to...

    Success: GA-Z77N-Wifi ~ i5 350k ~ NVidia GT 640 ~ 10.8.2

Hi - I see a few of you on this thread have Z77N and GTX 660 TI set-ups. I was wondering if you'd got sleep / wake successfully working? And if so how? On mine the system auto sleeps, and I mean completely, i.e. hard disks spin down, fans off, monitor off. But when I hit a key everything fires...

Hi Salch - about to do a near identical build to you - Z77N, i5, EVGA-GTX-660Ti Do you definitely need the DSDT for the Z77N? I'd heard you could get away without it using UEFI? Ethernet is important to me as I am not bothering with WIFI at all as I have a LAN socket close by... How's it all...

Hi - great guide and very welcome as the 660 seems to be the cheapest entry level card with displayport for my Apple Cinema Display (ACD). I am about to start my first hackintosh build and want to use my ACD. Will the ACD plugged into the displayport work during BIOS/multibeast initial...

My first build (ITX) - looks OK? Plus the cinema display question....

Thanks - so I think I have now figured out what I need if I want Cinema display, basically a graphics card with a displayport connector. This would support higher resolutions and the additional data channel for the camera/usb sockets in the monitor. The cheapest I can find is the EVGA GTX 660...

    Just how hard is this?

Hi all, First off, I must say this is a really great site, and has single-handedly convinced me that a Hackintosh is the way forward now that my Macbook has finally died. Before I embark on the journey though, I just want to manage my expectations on how much hassle/time this will involve. If...
