I got tired of buying Apple hardware and all of the specs were outdated with the current software on the market. I got tired of paying 3X the amount for 1/4 the machine. Durability is nice...but I'd like to be able to play the latest games and encode video with decent performance.
How did you install the usb ports and audio plugs to the back panel? Did you make your own cables? Or is there something out there one can buy? I've been working on a solution for this with my G5 case for a while now.
Correction:
I ended up not needing to install NULLCPUPowerManagement. Not sure why it was acting "quirky" in the first place. Works fine now. Was able to install Windows and El Capitan UEFI to dual boot. Have to do a little tweaking, as after I boot windows and "restart", windows boot...
Are you dual booting with EFI? Or legacy? I'm trying to dual boot on my rig with EFI, but struggling. What did you do to get Win 10 working and booting from clover?
I did earlier this week. Used UEFI. Everything works fine if you run the guide.

Do you have the NVidia Web drivers installed? Or are you booting from scratch?

Is anybody struggling with AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement? It always seems to be causing a kernel panic, unless I install the "null" kext. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this?
KNN-
I got my audio working. Was a simple fix. In your org.chameleon.Boot.plist, just add:
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>kext-dev-mode=1</string>
Worked like a charm!
I also updated to 10.10.3 using the autoupdate in the App Store with no problem!
Two issues wih the upgrade to 10.10.2 for me.
With kernelcache enabled, my boot screen would hang and I'd have the "waiting on root" line when viewings verbose. Disabling that fixed that problem.
Second....ALC 898 codec doesn't seem to be working for me. Not an uncommon problem as a...
I had no problem getting Yosemite up and running. It was pretty flawless, actually. I had no trouble with FakeSMC. Audio is working, bluetooth....etc.
My only problem is the Wifi. I've done the installation process (I'm doing a clean install), but am having problems getting it working...
