Looking for HW Monitor Temps on Asus Z97 Boards and Gigabyte Z87 Boards

Hi I hope a couple of people are willing to help... My new Swiftech H220X is pumping at full speed. It is PWM controlled and my HW Monitor reports PCH at 127 Celsius. So I and Swiftech think that the pump is seeing this to and revs up because it is too hot. There could be many reasons...

    Asus or Gigabyte

Since the inclusion of Asus boards, is there any reason to choose a Gigabyte board over an Asus one? I have a H220x water cooler and I need all the PWN fan headers I can get, including BIOS control over them. Gigabyte has none or little control and my Z87M-D3H has a busted sensor on the...

    Which Mainbord

Gigabyte GA-Z87m-D3H is cheap and easy I have setup two rigs. The only thing I had to do besides Multibeast was to use different network drivers to hot plug Ethernet. Will link to it you go with this. There are a couple good thorough build guides for this motherboard

    PCH Die at 127 Celsius ??? 10.9 Gigabyte B75M-D3H

Just wanted to suggest checking in windows with speedfan for others who experience this. I did and it also reported 127 Celsius. So I read up further on this and it seems that the coding for the values makes it so the temp scale goes from -127 to 127, when the sensor or monitor has a problem...

Are the XFX 5770 gfx cards still problematic in mavericks

I read a couple of posts that warned against these cards. They are hackable but I want something that works. And I want a 5770 because that was the one that died on me and the lefts are already installed. Can't afford one more 6xx nVIDIA as I am buying a GTX760 also this month.

GTX 680 4GB shows wrong GPU Memory

I think it says "effective speed" is 6GHz - they add it up somehow Can you tell me if all 4GB is recognised?

Mavericks installs - Multibeast kills installation instantly

Delete AppleTyMCEDriver.kext from /System/Library/Extensions/ is only needed if you use the MacPro5,1 definition - Have you tried with 3,1? it is mentioned somewhere that one could expect problems with RAM if using 5,1 Also I needed another Realtek ethernet driver But anyways -...

Help With Mavericks install using Clover

that combo should work... It sounds like you are not quite sure why multi beast gave you that error message. I would reccomend starting over using: 1. Unibeast 2. Multibeast and use the newest ones of both. Read everything twice or as many times you need until it makes sense. I...

    [Success] GA-Z87M-D3H - i5 4670K - GTX 760 (Mavericks + Windows 7 Dualboot)

Hey thanks Thomas. I tried that one a couple of months ago where it did not work properly. But this time it did :) Can't remember what the exact problem was. Also this time around I have also just confirmed that it outputs sound over my TV via HDMI for a minute. For those who are...

    Resolution 2560x1600 on my Hackintosh

http://www.madrau.com SwitchresX is an application you use on a Mac when you want to display a resolution that your Mac can't figure out on it's own. I used it for my Samsung TV that would only display a 720p res. instead of the 1:1 pixel res 1366x768. So I used switchresX and input the...

To SSD or not to SSD?

I have one 128GB OCZ Octane for boot drive, from there I have symlinked all my User Directory folders like Music and Documents and so on to a 1TB internal drive. That works great. I do want an additional SSD to store my DNG Raw files as the SSD speed up in Lightroom is a must for good...
