Hey Bitdoctor - do you get full HD 1920 from the integrated graphics on the H77n-WIFI? I'm running a I7-4770 on the same mobo (H77n-wifi) with integrated graphics, and I can't figure out how to enable any higher resolutions than 1280. Would you mind sharing your BIOS v and settings? Did you need...
did you get this resolved? i'm having an identical issue on one my hackintoshes. i had a clean build of 10.8.5 running smoothly, and then someone updated iTunes on the computer and it now is stuck at the load screen. i'm also now having a problem of the hackintosh not seeing the USB start up...
Couldn't fix my eliminating this kext, replacing this kext, changing BIOS, etc. Superduper cloned the drive to another place, and wiped it clean. I think some old MultiBeast settings from 10.7.3 were screwing things up. A clean install went through to MultiBeast stage with no hiccups. Will...
I replaced kept for AppleAICPplatform wih another from another forum. Replaced and repaired permissions. Same error. Going to just delete it and see what happens.
Thanks again. My searching through the forums found the same items. My system was overclocked at one point, but this is a new and different motherboard, and is running optimized defaults for BIOS overclocking settings, e.g. no over-clocking. There is nothing else on the stick but the Unibeast...
Hey! Yeah, I did think of that. I installed onto another formatted drive in my system via Unibeast, but couldn't start up onto it either! The error appears to be the same. I included it here with a photo.
Cool. I actually just mounted the drive on another computer and pulled off the kext from the s/l/e manually. Now I'm back to my original error, as referenced in the last photo - AppleACPIPlatform. Thanks again for the assistance. Any ideas?
It was DigiDal. I pulled out the kext, and restarted. Now it's hanging at the original error, namely the com.Apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform kernel extension.
Here is a photo of the current error. Btw, it can't be skipped with -x -v -f GraphicsEnabler=No PCIRootUID=0 UseKernelCache=no...
Thanks for the quick reply! I have optimized defaults for BIOS firmware v 11 (which I updated via q-flash). It has the two values you listed below, and I confirmed them. With some experimentation, using "-v -f GraphicsEnabler=No" as a boot flag, it skips the error, but dies at another error...
Doing my fourth Hackintosh build. New Gigabyte Z77X-UP5TH mobo with i7-3770k cpu. Latest Unibeast with ML App Store Retail 10.8.2 installs off USB, but will not boot back into the installed drive. The drive had 10.7.3 working flawlessly. Backed it up and went for the upgrade. Keep getting...
Hey - looks like my BIOS is a later rev, but yes, the settings are the same. I upgraded from 10.7.3 to ML. Keep getting this odd kernel panic regarding the AppleACPIPlatform kext. I tried rolling back the kext and then got "Unable to find driver for this platform...
Just curious... What did you decide? I'm a full timer too and need a stable and extremely powerful computer. I also would love to get it for that price range. I am a little worried about getting audio drivers for various I/o to work, not to mention fw 800 drives. Keep me posted. I'm thinking of...
