    I deleted the the network interface in System Preferences>network. Im using a TpLink compatible Pci-e card. Also deleted some Nvidia drivers. Mavericks 10.9.3. GA H87M HD3

    It's probably the patching Restart and shutdown was all my fault. I was impatient and didn't give the black screens enough time to finish their tasks, thinking the cpu went to a weird power management status The sound worked with those settings, will try your suggestion , I'm not finished yet...
