GA-Z68XP-UD3 "Still waiting for root device" in Safe Mode

OK, I have gotten this pretty stable here. The graphics work fine over HDMI to my 55 inch TV that I use for a monitor, everything stable, I've imported files and apps from my Mac Mini (took all night last night, but went without a hitch), I have networking (ethernet only, I haven't gotten a...

Optimized AppleHDA for Realtek ALC 889 on Lion - Update

I'm a bit confused. I have spent the better part of today going through the DSDT editing (I didn't have to do anything in the end, my DSDT from the Database already had everything needed).... I've installed the kext, but I still get 889 (no HDMI)... Using a GT 520 Nvidia. Can you please tell...

    Ubermick's Build: i7 3770K//Z77X-UP5-TH //GTX 670 OC

Thanks, Stork, but you also have the check box in MultiBeast for that network driver thing, and if I install that, I never get back, start over time. I don't know why. I'll try your 3000 Bios settings... will that really make the onboard graphics work? Thanks again.....

THANKS: Ubermick's Build: i7 2600K//GA-Z68XP-UD3//2GB XFX 68 Ubermick, Thanks for your post and your rambles. I bought this motherboard and a helpful person in the chat room showed me your thread here, and I'm at the point where I'm getting installs, but then MultiBeast makes them unbootable...

GA-Z68XP-UD3 "Still waiting for root device" in Safe Mode

So, the saga continues. I can consistently get to install, but my mSATA drive sometimes does not show up in Disk Utility in the install program. Something about mSATA and Chamelion, I suppose. It takes several reboots. I can't get networking going. I have used the pre-made .aml for the...

Turns out that I went and got a video card (not onboard video) and it booted right to install

GA-Z68XP-UD3 "Still waiting for root device" in Safe Mode

Yes. I have completely re-downloaded UniBeast, Lion, from the store, and made a new USB drive making SURE SURE SURE it is MBR partition and OSX Journaled format first. Same exact problem, I get to the "Still waiting". Which, at this point, it looks like that's my only choice, is to wait

GA-Z68XP-UD3 "Still waiting for root device" in Safe Mode

No chimera version shows. Only the USB stick picture with the Tonymac pic on it. It is the current version of UniBeast, downloaded fresh last night. Trying -f and -F now....

GA-Z68XP-UD3 "Still waiting for root device" in Safe Mode

I sure can hear it, but no, I have not yet tried it in various SATA ports. Not exactly annoying, but sticks in various USB ports, HDD in various SATA ports (I have NOT used any SATA-3 ports, only SATA-2).... if I get to the place where I enter the switches, doesn't that pretty much show that...

GA-Z68XP-UD3 "Still waiting for root device" in Safe Mode

Yes, sir, I have, indeed made the SATA drive an installer, trying to eliminate memory stick issues as the problem. the problem last night was in -v only, without -x. With -x, and any additional combination of other switches, I get the "Still waiting for root device" error.

GA-Z68XP-UD3 "Still waiting for root device" in Safe Mode

Hello, I have decided to t-shoot install in Safe Mode, and I have tried all sorts of different switches at the prompt, no joy. Everything seems to end with "Still waiting for root device", nothing seems to make a difference. I just can't get the installer to load. Clean bios settings, changed...

iBoot + MultiBeast: Install Mac OS X on any Intel-based PC

I seem to have ACPI power management troubles..... I can get thru iBoot and start on my SnowCD, but with or without -x switch, I get to the place where it has just said something about ACPI power management and the screen goes black, and after a few seconds the DVD drive stops and acts...
