I have a similar question. Before i read every page in this thread, are there some ready to go instructions for a specific motherboard? I'm about to buy and I would like to get a motherboard that is 100% compatible with minimal instructions and configuration files.

I have a similar setup.
All working fine except for one issue:
I turn off the power to my pc everyday. When I cold boot, the pc reboots directly after a few seconds after I turn it on, then the bios screen comes up and starts booting. After that Chameleon comes up and OSX ML (latest) starts...
So, my hack build is running happily for over 2 years now.
Still running Snow Leopard and actually not feeling the need to upgrade to lion or mountain lion.
But since my GFX card is starting to fail on me I wanted some advice on a decent GFX card that has some power but remains quite quiet...
It was a pain to get my HD5870 working but when chameleon will get updated with the support for the Ati cards the compatibility will be about the same i guess.
ATI is now natively supported with the latest osx.
I can say that for me the differences between 3,1 and 4,1 are marginal. But 4,1 is a keeper for me. Got 26 fps and got 23 with 3,1. Might have something to do with the custom videobios that gets loaded for my card? Anyway, i'm keeping 4,1
I am trying it as we speak :) From my old hackintosh pc to my new and improved :) Old and new version are the same: 10.6.5. And because everything i use a DSDT I think it's pretty safe.
20 minutes to go! :)

So I can't use that DSDT? When will it be available in the DSDT database?
I am a little anxious to try it because i'm stil on FA and i'm having problems with SMART and my SSD.
