Thanks again for the input and DSDT edit. I will try your mods, maybe this is what I will have to do for ML :) For Lion 10.7.5 the kext patch I posted on 1st page is working really well for my setup.

I havent tested the Zonalis profile myself, this was a suggestion from kirbyzhou Mine works if I do: - Install modded kext (Hoolock is the profile I hacked) - Add the following to boot.plist <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>AtiConfig</key> <string>Hoolock</string>

I am running Lion, so this kext is for 10.7.5. Provided the kext in ML is similar, it should be the same process to patch the kext. Give it a go..

Did you have to use patched kext with custom personality for ML too? What was your method for installing?

Might be worth mentioning that most users on this forum have a XFX 5850 - this card seems to work without problems. XFX 5850 The one being discussed here is the Sapphire 5850 XTREME - this one only as 3 ports and needs a custom personality based on Uakari to fix the ghost monitor...

In windows it idles at around 35-38C. I have not measured the temp in OSX, but judging by the GPU fan speed it is around the same. What tool can I use to measure GPU temp in OSX?

Thanks for your reply. I noticed you have ATI 5850. What make and model is that card? Is it the same Sapphire 5850 Xtreme that this thread is about? I am not certain how this will work since my Graphics Card outputs are not the same as Zonalis personality but will do some more digging around...
