I bought a cheap adapter to go with the BCM94360CD I got, but I've run into a serious issue! Other commenters in this thread have pointed out that card ONLY works in a PCI-e x1 slot, but my motherboard has only an x4 and an x16 port! (GA-H87M-D3H). As a result the Bluetooth simply doesn't work...
Thought I'd report my successful build in case it helps anyone in the future. This is a mini Hackintosh without a discrete graphics card in a very Mac Pro-esque case. If you want to use this same build, be aware you can add a graphics card if you want, there is plenty of room. I just don't think...
I was able to use this modified kext to get past the [PCI Configuration Begin] hang on my Dell Inspiron 1545. However to get past the 'root device' problem you need to set the boot flag USBBusFix=Yes (I also had to use GraphicsEnabler=No).
After that the installer worked with no problems!
