    X299X Thunderbolt Video Out

@CaseySJ what I did, was reading out the original chip and used new ones, so never flashed the original I desoldered, so that was my safe fail. But when you look at the HEX? Is this a normal behaviour ?

    X299X Thunderbolt Video Out

@CaseySJ Hi again, so I was investigating the FW of the TB Chip on the X299 Creator of ASRock, only way to get the FW from the Chip was by desoldering the chip, it's using an Macronix MX25L8006E. So with a flashbox I was able to read out this chip, at first I was seeing data in the first regions...

    ASUS X299 Monterey/Ventura Support

@CaseySJ Seems like the "NHI Driver in Monterey and above is doing some kind of checks" or maybe the "DROM and ThunderboltConfig which were implemented before have been depreciated and needs to be refined more". What do you think? As per my check, unless there is something connected (either...

    ASUS X299 Monterey/Ventura Support

Hi, everyone, so got a question to you all. So upon Big Sir both Thunderbolt 3 Ports on my system works fine when connecting a device to it, when booted into MacOS. But since Monterey / Ventura this isn’t the case anymore. Port 1 works, but second port doesn’t connect any TB device. The only way...

    X299X Thunderbolt Video Out

So, it breaks XHC to get connected. And with no device connected it doesn't trigger TB to get active to get devices connected with MacOS boot

    X299X Thunderbolt Video Out

Hi @CaseySJ I confirm that this MOD is working, full TB3 Tree Stack seen in IOREG and VIDEO PASSTHROUGH is still working. Only have to figure out why TB3 devices don't let me boot MacOS. It's 50/50 let me say, sometimes it doesn't boot and if it boot, it sees the devices but doesn't connect...

    X299X Thunderbolt Video Out

Sure, I agree. Only issue I’m now having is that with stock FW I can’t get MacOS booted when TB devices is connected for some weird reason. Let try this Modded File and report back

    X299X Thunderbolt Video Out

Here you go, It's super strange, but a AIC card with your NVM50 will pass video thru, the Stock FW does pass video thru, so, this is our only hope to get full TB Node and maybe Video Pass Thru

    X299X Thunderbolt Video Out

@CaseySJ are you willing to look at my original FW BIN file and MOD it ?

    X299X Thunderbolt Video Out

So what I think is that we need to MODIFY my original FW of the CHIP instead of trying to use the Z370/390 TB MODDED FW like suggested

    X299X Thunderbolt Video Out

So, tried a whole other kind of Modded FW, that didn't work, went back to my original FW before I started flashing, bam, just works.... Display Signal from the BIOS on

    X299X Thunderbolt Video Out

As far as I know, we tried a lot of patches. But non of the patches gives Video Signal. The system recognizes the monitor, so at About My Mac, you see both displays, in System Information too. For what I remember, the original FW was NVM43, I flashed it with 'DESIGNARE-Z390-NVM33-Elias64Fr'...
