I have the E757 its the x58 sli le, im not quite sure what the universal kext is, im guess im going to start from step one and partition the hdd

I have tried multiple variations in the bios, and I'm using the only available Ethernet port :(. I also do not understand why it will not let me access network under system preferences.

So I checked the or.Chameleon.boot.plist and verified that the code was there. Im really quite not sure about checking which port I have enabled. I don't know how this is done, and I figured that it would be under the network tab in system preferances however when I click on network the pane...

what I don't quite understand is why "System Preferences > Network" won't load (Just shows beach ball spinning)... It just becomes unresponsive and I have to force quit it.

I have the Realtek RTL8111D Ethernet controller, and only one Ethernet port

Anyone having similar problem?

Yes, I checked the repair permissions box along with the appropriate kext, and I still can't get into my network setting under preferances, or access the internet :(

Did you ever get it working with multibeast, if so would you mind telling me how you did so? Thanks

I read the multibeast manual and it deleted all my network kexts and reinstalled with no luck, also when I go to system preferences and select network the system preferences freezes and I have to force quit

Thanks, I just ended up doing a clean vanilla install by following a guide I'm just trying to get network working through multibeast, however I'm not getting any luck
