Hey everyone,

I want to warn you all about a serious security issue that a swedish hacker and security researcher named Emil Kvarnhammar discovered in OS X Yosemite, called "Rootpipe". It allows a hacker to gain root access to your computer without needing a password.

Here's an article on it: http://www.intego.com/mac-security-blog/rootpipe-hacker-mac/

There's many articles on it around the web, so it's definitely real.

If this has been fixed by Apple in a new update or patch without my knowing, then I'm sorry for the post and I'd love to know so I can start using Yosemite.

Hope this helps someone.

Happy Hackintoshing,

I believe that Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 addresses that because it looks like it was released on Jan 27th 2015 and part of it says it says that it improves on security.
