Hi guys,
About 1 year ago I purchased a Lenovo Ideapad y570 (specs listed below) and recently I've had the dying urge to turn it into a Hackintosh primarily I am an avid Linux user however the lack of some programs I use on a daily basis always forces my back to Windows until I need my Linux dev environment once again. So far I've had no luck booting to Lion 10.7.4 using iBoot 3.3.0 (would use Unibeast but I don't have a Mac to prepare a USB). At any rate, I was just curious is anyone has had experience with this laptop or similar and can point me in the right direction. Currently the system crashes and reboots long before the Apple logo. I've tried with the following options
-x -v GraphicsEnabler=No
-x -v GraphicsEnabler=No busratio=20
Laptop Specs:
Intel Core i7 2630QM (2.0 ghz)
Samsung 8GB Dual Channel 1333 DDR3 RAM (9-9-9-24)
500GB Seagate MomentusXT
NVidia GT 555m / Intel HD 3000
Renesas USB 3.0 Host Controller
Intel WiFi Link 1000 BGN (Not sure of the model)
Intel High Definition Audio
Broadcom NetLink Gigabit Ethernet Controller
