The UX31A (the Ivy bridge version) is compatible with OS X. You only have to swap out the intel wifi card for a broadcom combo one that works with OS X so that the bluetooh and wifi work fine.

The UX31E (sandy bridge version) is not that great :s The wifi+Bluetooth card is not compatible and currently can no be swapped for another one due to a non standard connector. Also, the Fresco Logic USB3 port is not compatible either.

For both laptops, the Elan Tech touch pad only works as a simple mouse so you get no multi touch.

In other words, only the UX31A version is worth investing in if you want OS X on it. The only part that will suck is the trackpad which will only work as a simple mouse.

Wow thanks! that was a lot of information you have there. for the UX31A's trackpad won't be an issue cause il be using a usb mouse or a wireless one.

@kingkahn

thats also an option, but i want to have the option of dual booting OS. I still love windows, cause i play games on it.

Yeah, i would definitely get an Air if i had to pay for it. My UX31E was a gift so i can't really complain about it. It's just unfortunate that it's not a good candidate for a hackintosh.

Its not fun? I wanna know why sir. Thanks..

Because putting Windows and OS X on the same drive is a mess to start with and on top of that, anything less than 128GB for Windows will suck, as you'll get about two programs on there...

@thelostswede

I'm sorry i can't understand how will that suck? In my desktop PC i only have a 64gb ssd just for the OS and some programs and it seems too work fine for me.
