T440p & X220 both support EFI, but T440p only support install with Clover and X220 only support install with Chameleon, why???

What evidence do you have to support your assertions?
 
I've tried in my environment. And I also google solution(T440p/Chameleon & X220/Clover) but no results.
I don't know why, but it was I tested!

I'd guess that both will work with either boot loader. It all depends on proper configuration.
