G4 dome swappable?

I have a 20" G4 that I plan on modding, and access to a 17" for parts if I need it. The dome on the 20" has a large section of the finish peeling/scratched off, and I was wondering if the domes are the same size for the different models and if I'd be able to swap the much nicer dome on the 17" onto the 20".

The outer plastic may be swappable but the faraday cages are way different. The 20" is much thicker and heavier to support the articulating LCD.

That makes sense. The outer plastic is all I really need to swap so hopefully it works, I won't know for sure until I get the time to take them both apart (I haven't even cracked the 20" open yet)

One screw under where the Apple logo is, is all there is to hold the plastic shell to the dome. You'll need to peel off the clear plastic insulator first though. EDIT: And the neck needs to come out first.
