There is an issue with Meize's Realtek driver:

- Restarting into OS X after running Windows, the network does not work. Booting into Linux then restarting into OS X does. Cold boot fixes it too. Something the Windows driver is doing to put the hardware into a state that Meize's driver cannot deal with.

FYI: Same issue with Slice's driver... Not an issue with lnx2mac.

It would be interesting if the same issue is present for those with 4540s...

Quick off topic question: What do you think about the new probook installer beta 4 feature (SSDT generator)? http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-probook/87816-hp-probook-installer-6-1-beta-ivy-bridge-support.html

Thanks!

It is going to be awesome. It means we'll magically get SSDTs for all supported Ivy chips and a few more Sandy chips that I never added (although they are not common on ProBook).

And there's one less possibility for mistake...

Marvelous! I was thinking that you made the SSDT generator, but just now I realized that is based on the PikeRAlpha's script. BTW, have you checked the script to see if everything is all right and optimized?

Thanks!

We did make some changes.
Pike hasn't changed his script to set Sandy bridge mobile processors to idle at 800 (instead he's got them at 1200 which is for Ivy).

Actually, these changes were my lucky shot, initially I didn't knew what has to be changed. Did you tested it yet?

Maybe I should have given you better clues...

I had already posted changes for the script more than a month ago: http://www.tonymacx86.com/ssdt/86906-ssdt-generation-script-ivybridge-pm-17.html#post555400

And yes, I did test the new version (just the SSDT generation part) and everything worked, including the backup functionality...

RM, it is possible to do the same thing with the DSDT? I mean, extract the raw/clean/native DSDT with the probook installer and later patch it with MaciASL?

Thanks!

Maybe it's possible, but it's involved with using of AppleScript inside the Installer, which is generally not recommended by the package developers from the Installer-dev mailing list.

What a pity...

The only missing thing here is the patching from the command line, the extraction can be done, as well as the decompilation and the compilation.
