Bought this card for my Probook 6470b because it's been stated in other threads that it's %100 compatible with OS X, however its not working. It recognizes the card but when attempting to toggle "Turn Wi-Fi On", nothing happens.

I've seen a few posts about this here and there with no answers. Any help?

Be patient when you turn it on. It is not instant and the LED does not reflect the true state.

Not sure how you use google if you're not connected to the network, but...

The idea is this: attempt to turn it on... drop the Wifi menu from the menu bar... wait for a bit to see if any networks are seen... if you don't see any, press the power toggle again, repeat...

Also, I'm assuming you verified the hardware works in Linux or Windows...

I have a desktop too. The laptop is next to me. I'm multitasking.

Already went through these steps. Yes works fine in Ubuntu. I'm out of ideas.

It could be something else. What were your procedures for installing OS X?

I got it!. Disabled FastBoot in the bios and bam! Thought it already was but I must have not saved the changes. I'm not used to the fantasy Bios these HP's have. I'm old fashioned. Thanks anyways.

Yeah, most of the time, fast boot is a bad idea.
